The Harlequin Theater in Sandusky, OH is pleased to present: The Guys as written by Anne Nelson.
The Harlequin Theater is the oldest continuously running community theater in the state of Ohio. They produce three to four shows each year between November and May. Their location, at 414 Wayne Street provides a 97 seat space that allows for an experience in intimate live theater.
Twelve days after the attacks on the World Trade Centers, Anne Nelson was asked by a New York fire captain to help him write eulogies for eight of his men that were lost in the Sept. 11 tragedy. The play was based on this real life experience about the aftereffects of the collapse of the TwinTowers. In the play, the Captain, overwhelmed and struggling, enlists the help of a writer to guide him through his grief. Through his experience, he rediscovers and remembers the camaraderie and friendship he once had with his colleagues.
