The 33rd annual Texas Renaissance Festival has strived to bring the very best in Renaissance themed entertainment, food and merchandise.  The festival is located on over Texas Renaissance Festival50 acres, has dozens of stages and thousands of vendors and performers.  Over 300,000 people come annually to the Texas Renaissance Festival.  There is something for everyone!  Everyone has their favorite food at the festival, whether it be a turkey leg or any of the other wonderful foods they have.  There is shops with jewelry, leather goods, wind chimes, I could go on and on.

If you have never been to the Texas Renaissance Festival, check it out this year.  The nice weather we have been having makes it the perfect time to go!

The Renaissance festival is going on through November 25th and is located on FM 1744 between Magnolia and Plantersville.

Cynthia - It is so nice that it lasts so long as it allows people from all over Texas and even further to come for the Renaissance.  We have seen many people from Louisiana as well, in fact we ran into someone my husband knew from one of his plants--a small world.

Candy, This festival looks like something I would love.  We have a renaissance festival here once a year but it's not nearly as big.  Have a wonderful time if you go!

Thesa - The Texas Renaissance is definately big!  It is so fun just walking around and looking at everything.  You can't see it all in one day, I don't think.  I hope you have a great time in Texas.  I did hear, funny how good news travels fast!  Would love to meet you too!  What dates are you coming?

Charles - I think the Renaissance Festivals are really nice this time of year with the cooler weather.  I will be coming over to your great post in a bit to check it out.  Thank you so much for the comment.

Candy, I remember visiting that festival way back when.  There was talk at the time that Disney intended to build something in the area.  Has that talk disappeared?

Robert - There is still talk about Disney building something out there, they bought a large amount of land a few years back.  Now I am hearing Disney is building a dinosour world or something off of 242 east of I-45

Iv'e always wanted to go but miss it for one reason or another every year... I wonder if it is true Renaissance or if they mix in Medieval aspects as well! I wonder at its historical accuracy, you know i just can't help myself!

Shellee -  We usually go every couple years or so. They seem to try and make it somewhat accurate to the time periods of Renaissance and Medieval times as well, this is an entertainment Renaissance festival and I feel it is for the amusement of it's guests.  Independant vendors sell medieval and Renaissance themed handcrafts, clothing and much more.  People come to the festival for first- the beer, secondly for the beer, then the food and the wonderful entertainment!  It is just plain fun!

Bridget - I bet the Shapesperean Festival is great fun as well.  I bet you enjoy that.  Many people that attend the Renaissance dress up and really get into it.  About every weekend someone gets married there that met there.
