The Extreme Home Makeover Van has rolled into town!

Tomorrow, one lucky family here in Southern Oregon will get a knock on their door to let them know that they are the recipients of a new home built by the Extreme Home Makeover team.

It's been known for a few weeks now that a Jackson County, Oregon family would be receiving the new home, but it's still a big secret as to which family (there were five contenders), will be receiving the new home.

The Makeover Van was spotted at the Rogue Regency Inn here in town last night.  How exciting!!!!!

Definitely exciting for our community, Tina!  It's really a great way to bring the community together for a good cause and as an added, the community benefits financially too.  I'm excited to see who the winning family will be.  All the best to you!

Great idea John!  I actually cruised by Rogue Regency on my way home hoping to "spy" the bus.  It wasn't there but out in their back parking lot there were a LOT of trailers and appeared to be some "crew" setting some stuff up; probably for some off site prep work and whatnot.

Hi Sheila!  As John said...I'll have plenty to blog about!  lol   Thank you for the kind compliment.  That was taken this weekend at my stepdaughter's wedding.

That's pretty cool!  Hopefully you can track down where they're working and get some pictures.  It would be interesting to see what they do "off camera".  Keep us updated!

Morning Tammy!  I used to watch that show non stop myself.  Admittedly, Ty and his megaphone really started to annoy me, however.  LOL.  I'll be sure to update here in the rain.  Have a terrific day!

Hi Bryan!  Yes, very exciting for our little po-dunk "Deadford"!  I've got my ears pinned to the radio, hoping they'll announce this morning what lucky family got their door knocked on.  It's all been a big secret.  Even the county was instructed not to record the permit until after the family was notified.  I did take a photo of some of the vans and trailers I saw in back of the Rogue Regency yesterday...there were also a couple of guys walking around with some sort of ear pieces.  I'll keep you posted!  :-)
