This event happens to be for a very worthy cause & is GREAT for our environment!! This will be a fantastic turnout!!

Come see new artwork by 'ChrisAlex' and other artists. All creations are made from recycled/scrap materials. Artwork is for sale with a portion donated to Trash2Treasure Creative Reuse Center! Exhibit runs from Sept. 12-30. Reception is Sept. 15, music, food, and wine bar!

September 12th - 30th

Intake: Saturday Sept 10, 2011 - 10am to 2pm
Reception: Thursday Sept 15, 2011 6-8pm
(complimentary h'ordeurves, live music, family friendly)
Outake: Saturday Oct 1, 2011 - 10am to 2pm
Where: JM Family Enterprise Gallery at Art Serve
1350 E Sunrise Blvd, Fort Lauderdale
How: Create your artwork out of 75% scrap materials and bring it to registration~(details on T2T website)
Register: online(click here to register online), at our center(1100 NW 53rd St. Fort Lauderdale), or at Art Serve on Saturday, September 10
Fee: $25 for up to three submissions (Entry fees will be waived for the first 20 children, k-12 grade on a first come/first serve basis.)

I have own a 5 foot Seahorse that I purchased at the Las Olas Arts Festival a few years ago, which is "Muffler Art". Yes, it is recycled mufflers :)... He is my prize :) ...you should have seen us trying to figure out where he was going & how we were getting him there! The artist was gracious enough to deliver him, but it was an installation for sure :) I will try to post a photo later.

Pam- this sounds like s much fun. I love going to some of the art shows up here and love it when you can see that someone has turned old tires or pvc into art!
