Teamwork, at the movies. Another Review!
I was bored tonight. No first run shows on any of the networks that I cared about - enough to watch on their internet sites. So I wandered over to Netflix. After browsing thru a bunch of movies, I saw one that caught my eye. Airport 1970. I never even set foot on an airplane until roughly 1980. Since then I've circled the world many times. Total miles in my Mileage Plus UA account over 210,000. So I guess I've flown over 350,000 miles.
I'm sure I saw this movie once upon a time, but don't remember it. The slide back to 1970 was really a trip. The year I graduated High School in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. I didn't think so at the time, but it may have been one of the fondest years of my life. I was Student Council President, and had lots of great friends, and still have many memories of the good times. It's too bad my parents moved away from there in the summer of 1970, and I didn't go back until my 30th HS reunion. I thought the pastures were going to be much greener elsewhere, and to some extent, for what I needed at the time, they were. But we always go back, and realize what we missed.
Airport 1970. What I noticed most about this movie. Two things. The infidelity between the married partners. Work just got in the way. Jobs too stressful. Maybe too many other opportunities? That's one side.
The other side was the teamwork, in the job. Working together for a common end, the successful result.
That's what I like about Real Estate. Listing agent, Home seller or developer. Selling Agent and their buyer / investor. My support team. Title Company. Mortgage broker. Home inspector. Home Stager. Contractor. Marketing Support. It all works together, and we have great results. And our clients win! Just like in Airport 1970!
