Teamwork, at the movies. Another Review!

Teamwork, At the MoviesI was bored tonight. No first run shows on any of the networks that I cared about - enough to watch on their internet sites. So I wandered over to Netflix. After browsing thru a bunch of movies, I saw one that caught my eye. Airport 1970. I never even set foot on an airplane until roughly 1980. Since then I've circled the world many times. Total miles in my Mileage Plus UA account over 210,000. So I guess I've flown over 350,000 miles.

I'm sure I saw this movie once upon a time, but don't remember it. The slide back to 1970 was really a trip. The year I graduated High School in Grantsburg, Wisconsin. I didn't think so at the time, but it may have been one of the fondest years of my life. I was Student Council President, and had lots of great friends, and still have many memories of the good times. It's too bad my parents moved away from there in the summer of 1970, and I didn't go back until my 30th HS reunion. I thought the pastures were going to be much greener elsewhere, and to some extent, for what I needed at the time, they were. But we always go back, and realize what we missed.

Airport 1970. What I noticed most about this movie. Two things. The infidelity between the married partners. Work just got in the way. Jobs too stressful. Maybe too many other opportunities? That's one side.

The other side was the teamwork, in the job. Working together for a common end, the successful result.

That's what I like about Real Estate. Listing agent, Home seller or developer. Selling Agent and their buyer / investor. My support team. Title Company. Mortgage broker. Home inspector. Home Stager. Contractor. Marketing Support. It all works together, and we have great results. And our clients win! Just like in Airport 1970!

Team work does work and you can get more done if delegation is at work.

I like the analogy John, you are so right, it takes a team to get the job done right..........just like in the movie.  Didn't you just love Helen Hayes!

Totally in agreement with you John, real estate is a team effort. There are about 30+ people that get involved somehow in a typical real estate transaction and we are the ones that must make sure everybody stays in track and closes on time.

Antonio

PS: It was nice meeting you at the Fremont meeting today!

Strangely enough, 1970 is when I flew for my very first overseas flight, immigrating from the Philippines to the U.S.A,

The idiosyncracies of that era are typified in the series "Mad Men".

But you're right -- its' TEAM WORK that makes things flow.

It was fabulous seeing you at the Meet-Up today. Hope we have another opportunity to get together soon.

Take care

Correct, team work makes things flow if all team members are committed to give 100%. One weak link can change the whole dynamics.

Nice meeting you, John.

Pacita, thanks for connecting so many of us yesterday.  Hope to see you all again soon at one of the other meetings.

Elite Home sales, you got that right.

Roger, Helen Hayes was a great character.

That's true Antonio. Sometimes I feel more like a Project Manager!

It just boggles my mind when I think back to coming of age in the 70s Pacita. And it really was great meeting you!

Thanks for stopping by Anja! It was good meeting you too!

I had a Keeshond when I was a kid John, and the chows remind me of that breed. Beautiful!  My little chiweenie can't compare with the majestic look of these dogs, but I love her anyway.  Wish I got to talk to you more, but next time!!
