Aspens

Aspens outside of Woodland Park, CO in Pikes Peak National Forest

The Aspens

Now that cooler temperatures are filling the air,

The question arises – are the Aspens changing colors yet?

Soon the news reports and the internet will be teaming with advice on where to find the best places to view their glorious fall foliage.

Yet for me, I’m still entranced by their summer time beauty.

Note:  This picture was taken in Woodland Park, CO - where the Pikes Peak National Forest is practically in your backyard.  Woodland Park lies 17 miles to the west of Colorado Springs.

Sondra,

Can't believe how quickly fall is coming upon us.  You can feel it in the air.  And I bet, so do the beautiful Aspens.  Oranges and gold are just beautiful indications of the turning season.  Give me a call sometime to meet us.  598-5108... g

Hi Sondra~ I can hardly wait for our fall colors to fill the trees, before the float to the ground! Always one of my favorite times of the year!

Best regards from Seattle,

The Aspens do indeed in the Fall Sondra have splendid color. What is interesting in our area I know no tree with that white colored bark. That is what has always amazed me about that particular tree.

Hi Sondra -  Beautiful pic of Aspens.  My wife and I always enjoy hiking as the breeze blows through Aspen leaves making them sing their rattling songs.  Thanks for sharing.   May the force of the Rain be with you ~

Oh how I love aspens. I'll have to take a picture of the two aspen pictures that hang above my bed. One is of aspens in the spring, and the other in the fall. I bought them when I was in, uh, Aspen back in 1994 and had them shipped back to San Diego.
