The Rockville Centre Department of Public Works curbside tree planting program has moved to the fall.  Residents have until September 30th to order either a Pin Oak, Crimson King Norway Maple, Japanese Lilac, Little Leaf Linden or a Kwanzan Oriental Cherry.

Trees are $200 each and for an extra $100 a village contractor will plant the tree for you and that includes a one year guarantee if the tree dies.  Planting date is Fall of 2011.

For more information please contact the Rockville Centre DPW P.O. Box 950, Rockville Centre NY 11571 and make checks payable to the Village of Rockville Centre.

I haven't heard of this type of tree planting program. Nice selection of trees and worth it. Trees add so much to any landscape.
