My local public radio station ran a feature story on this today, so very sad. Something we are all too familiar with here in Southern California. Your summer was so dry! Hope you get a lot of help!

Lots of stuff is needed all over. I don't understand how Bastrop is still only 0% contained!

My church is collecting too.  University United Methodist Church. I'll donate for sure!  Lots of prayers.  We had one bust out in Stone Oak and there weren't any helicopters since ours are in Bastrop. Today one busted out near my neighborhood so I"m going to do a fire drill tonight. Camp Bullis Rd is only about 10 miles from here!

Our local New Braunfels station KGNB has put out a call for help over at Bastrop. for donations. I know they have sent some of our fire department trucks from New Braunfels and Canyon Lake to help out. We need to continue to pray for rain. Bastrop is such a beautiful area and the pine trees are awesome, that is if they are still there. Our prayers for all the folks that have been lost homes in this terrible Texas fire.
