Hemet and San Jacinto CA -- Beware of Home Burglaries

According to our local newpaper over the weekend, Hemet Police says that there are an alarming number of home burglaries, due to open or unlocked doors and window.

Furthermore, the Police Department states that these criminals are getting so brazen that they are actually coming in while people are at home, awake or asleep.

I know times are tough, and we all have to think of this as a career to these criminals (as weird as that may seem.)

Two homes in my neighborhood have been burglarized in the past few months, so I contacted my State Farm agent and made sure that all my stuff was well covered.  What with all the electronics we have in our homes these days, there is a lot more to lose.

Make sure you photograph all your precious belongings and safeguard those photos somewhere that you can access them.  Also, call YOUR insurance agent and just make sure you are amply covered.

An ounce of prevention.....they say......

As City, State and County services are cut back, the bad guys know it and take advantage of it.  Good tip about taking a video record of your belongings.  You can also mark some of these with an etcher with your CA Drivers license # on the back.

Jean- maybe the neighbors can get together and begin a neighborhood watch group.  Im sure that everyone does not leave for work/school  and return  at the same time.
