In our opinion and according to these stats, during the same time period for the previous year, the homes in Smithtown were on the market 45 days longer in August 2010, there was 1 additional sale, and the average selling price was slightly higher. This is "good news" for the Real Estate Recovery because the days on the market were shorter showing that sales for August 2011 were up. Keep in mind, that the styles of homes, the amount of land, the location and the updates may not be equal or the same.
Four Condos sold in Smithtown Long Island in August 2011 with an average price of $384,000. In August 2010, Condo/Co-ops sales had an average selling price of $433,000.
