Best Buddy Chow Chows

I tried really hard to write a Real Estate related post tonight. Yesterday's meet-up in Fremont with other San Francisco Bay Area ActiveRainers was really great - glad I went! I met So many wonderful people - it's nice to meet the person behind the picture behind the blog. Thanks to Bryan Robertson for spearheading that effort. And to Karen Crowson and Kathleen Daniels for helping to spread the word.

And today's online RainCamp was inspiring and full of great ideas. I have so many thoughts and so many things to do....

But, as I was sitting in my home office late yesterday afternoon thinking about the new friendships from AR, Ponche and Rico came in and plopped down together. Ponche is 3 years old. Rico is 12. But they get along like best friends and buddies. They like to sleep together at night, just like puppies would. I picked up the camera, and I have to share some photos. What else can I say, but Aaawwwww.....

I have a 3 year old white chow named ZsaZsa that is close to the lighter one's color. She is white with cream around her ears. She has long silky hair. All of my previous chows have been full like these. She is a pure bread, too? I don't know, but I love her and CHOWS in general! Excellent dogs!! We lost Stormy at 17 years old last summer. He was red. :(((

Joni, The lighter one you're talking about is Ponche, the 3 year old. He came from Atlanta. They're all pure bread. So many people are afraid of Chows. Their reputation I guess. But if you give them a loving home they will be loving too! Rico has had back problems, but with daily walks he's hanging in there.

I sure they aren't offended in the least Evelyn. They're probably proud of it! I did see the other blogs about the meet-up. Loved your photos. I saved them all.

Donna, I do actually have THREE Chows. The third one, Kevin, is 10 years old, and likes his own space a little bit more. But he hangs on my every word - he's decided that he is now the alpha dog.

I love them all Mary. And the little one was born in Atlanta! I've always had dogs in my life, but I think it was about 10 years ago that they all became just like people. A completely different relationship.

Kathleen, I took 880 to 92 to 280 on the way home. I spent almost as much time stuck on 880 as the whole rest of the drive. But it was all worth it, and great to meet you!

They are special in that way Kathy. The third one (not in the picture) is a little less of a cuddler, except with me.

They are smart guys Karen. But each one has a completely different personality. No typical Chows here!
