Michelle- you know he died in that plane crash when I was only two. I likely only appreciated lulaby's at the time. But I love his music. It seems timeless.
Tammy: Dock of the Bay is an amazing song, and his voice is classic, love him!
Tammy - - one of the real classics when records were records I keep thinking I should convert my collection of 78's, 45, and 33's to digital but then I give my head a shake ..... they just wouldn't be the same without the old juke box sound.
Kathy- I have a turn table. I still love to listen once in a while... sratches and all.
Jane- just reaches right into your soul.
Tammy - we would have so much fun hanging out. Love Otis Redding's music and all the other music you've ever mentioned.
I should use Sitting on the Dock of the Bay when I post waterfront scenes. I love his music and would enjoy this.
Mona- let's make it a plan sometime down the road to hang out.
Toni- yeah, won't work so good with MY lake, but... well maybe people could use their imaginations a little. I love his music too.
I was 15 when Sitting on the Dock of the Bay was recorded and remember it fondly. It wasn't psychedelic like most stuff I listened to back then, but it definitely had soul.
Elizabeth- you've been on my mind. Tomorrow will be a year since I signed up for the blood marrow program. yesterday I renewed that commitment. I'll always be grateful I found out about that from you. And yes, it definitely has soul.
Tammy,
You gave me a smile thinking about Otis' song - Sitting on the dock of the bay BEFORE I saw the link. Life is good.
All the best, Michelle
