Wow – what a busy weekend it was for us. I helped two people find a home to rent (yes, we do work with tenants looking to rent homes) on Saturday, held one open house in Paradise Valley on Sunday and wrote an offer on a home for another buyer. Long, stressful but enjoyable weekend.
To celebrate Labor Day Holiday, I took most of the day off and spent it with my two kiddo’s.
Memorial Day – most of us who grew up on the East Coast or Mid-west remember this as the last holiday before school starts. It's a bitter sweet holiday – enjoying the last day of summer vacation but still filled with excitement about going back to school. New school clothes, new shoe’s and new expectations on what school would entail.
In Arizona, our children start school mid August so the “new school” experience has already worn off. For me, Memorial Day is more about relaxing with the family and just being grateful for having a job (ok, as a Realtor, it’s actually my small business and not a job –but, I’m still grateful for being able to sell homes) that I enjoy. I think about the millions of American’s out there right now that want to work but can’t find any gainful employment. It must be tough for them. Memorial Day is just another day to wish they had a job.
I hope everyone had a chance to enjoy the holiday weekend and spend it with family.
