Jeffrey Gaines Tonight at Mexicali Live! | The Jersey Scene

Jeffrey Gaines doesn't appear all that often in parts, "North Jersey". When he does, I try never to miss his shows. He appears tonight-only at Mexicali Live 1409 Queen Anne Road in Teaneck. Doors open at 6 & Sean Faust kicks off the show at 8.

 

I've been a fan of Jeffrey Gaines since '92, when he released his self-titled album and 1st hit, "Hero in Me". Many who may not be so familiar, would recognize Jeff's classic remake of Peter Gabriel's "In Your Eyes". I first experienced him perform the tune at The Turning Point in Piermont, NY circa the early 90's... solo, accoustic, and a candle-lit encore... a very cool memory.

His combination of thought-provoking lyrical poetry & great guitar work truly sets Jeffrey Gaines apart from the pack. With 6 albums and extensive touring with the likes of Melissa Etheridge, Sting, Tori Amos, Edwin McCain, Tracy Chapman. Joe Jackson, & Stevie Nicks, and many TV performances, Jeff is no stranger to the stage. As a bonus to his awesome lineup of original music, he usually throws in a tune here & there from artists like Elvis Costello, Tom Petty, The Monkees... And, if you think Roberta Flack does magic with "The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face", Jeff's version would leave you speechless! He's all Rock-N-Roll with a lotta' Soul!
