I got a call earlier today from an agent acting as a buyers agent.
I say to him/her...If You're Not Prepared, OWN UP!
She/he said,"I called several times yesterday, and didn't get an answer".
"Guess what," I say, "Your number doesn't show up on my phone, and my office has no record of your call til 11:45 this morning,"
This was politely stated at 12:15pm today.
Shortly after 2pm the agent called back and said, "My clients will be arriving in the next 15 minutes, have you contacted the seller yet."
After the agent's nasty message how I don't return phone calls, I was cool.
"Yes," I said, "I've put out several calls to the sellers, but they've not been answered."
And the buyer's agent asked, "So what's the problem?"
Said, but not spoken, "Well, in addition to you saying you called several times and there's no record of it, or that you said your clients home was paid off, but later in the conversation retracted that to say they only had a small amount to pay off. Or that their house is not listed yet"
Said and spoken, "I don't know...it must be a terrible problem."
Yes, and because you've been so honest with me, I want to work with you!
(Special note to readers....This is a rant, and it's a public rant. Said but not spoken is the key!)
And I did try to contact the seller's! And biting one's tongue is painful!
