Katy Christian Ministries (KCM) has Resale Shop on Mason Road in Katy Texas
Katy Christian Ministries is a non-profit organization which provides emergency aid to people living in the Katy, Fulshear/Simonton and West Houston area where the people involved have their individual or family situations changed due to financial crisis, illness, divorce, natural disaster. Therefore, these folks are struggling to make ends meet. KCM brings aid and help to all people of this community regardless of age, sex, religion, or socio-economic status. No one who really needs assistance is denied and the profile of the person or family needing help could be anyone we know or work with or go to church with or have other contact with. KCM depends on the support of the whole community for its continuation. This means the organization lives another day to help all these folks by receiving donations.
The services offered by KCM include social services for folks needing emergency help; stocking and distributing a Food Pantry; Crisis Center for crisis counseling, support groups, legal help and Community Outreach; Two resale stores with one located at 333 S Mason Road and the other 5510 First Street in Katy Texas; a Donation Center located at 5012 East third Street in Katy; Volunteer Programs for individuals wanting to help others.
Recently, I went to the resale store on Mason Road in Katy. The store has many different types of items for sale at very reasonable prices. They also take donations of items that can be sold in their store. I was surprised to see a significant amount of furniture being sold here. The people I spoke to and who work at the store are very helpful and courteous. I mainly stopped to ask if I could drop off donations at this location and I spent several minutes looking through the whole store. I was very impressed with the entire operation. If you have an opportunity I encourage to stop by either of their resale shops to see for yourselves.
There are so many ways for individuals to help folks like the KCM group. You and your family can donate money; donate time to the volunteer program; drop useable clothing and other items at the resale stores; speak at one of their events; bring food to the food pantry; etc. There are so many different non-profit groups right now who are all needing help and I believe KCM is an organization that folks should try to help as they are providing needed assistance to the whole community. Unlike way too many charitable groups, KCM is not using donations for their executives to live a lavish life style.
