Austin is know as the Live Music Capital Of The World. And you never know who you might hear on a given night. For those of us who live in east Austin, we are fortunate enough to have numerous venues, including several on east 6th Street.  On Friday September 9, 2011, Grammy nominated artist Alejandro Escoveda performed in our Guadulupe Neighborhood, to benefit The Magellan International School.

The benefit raised money for the school, focused on bileterate, international education. Those of us who live in the Guadalupe neighborhood, were able to hear Escoveda perform a full concert. Look for him to play future concerts at The Continental Club. .

Dear Scott -

Music and Austin - intertwined - I remember the first time I was there going to a grocery at night which turned out to be the headquarters of WH and hearing live music!

Have a happy day -
Lynn
