No one messes with Mother Nature…

Yesterday when I left my house it was already warm so I dressed accordantly. I made my rounds to Lockeford, Linden and Valley Springs.  As I was leaving my last stop in Valley Springs I noticed sprinkles on my windshield.  A mile down the road and it looked like a flash flood had occurred. I still had two stops to make in Burson and by the time I arrived in Acampo I was soaking wet.

Rainy Day in Valley SpringsTraffic in the rain

Today I was ready for the open house signs every few blocks, balloons for the signs, no vehicles in the driveway or in front of the house, lights on, soft music candles and refreshments.

My office was setup in the living with brochures on the house, finance information, comparable listing of the neighborhood and my sign in sheet at the door...and nothing happens.  Today was hot and humid and I felt like I was the only human on the planet. No one was out. After three hours I had one visit, (thank goodness for modern technology). I guess the old saying still holds true, no one messes with Mother Nature…

Hi! I am glad that you at least got one visit.  You never know all it takes is one buyer.  : )

Pearlline, you always dress for the dance, you never know when you are going to be asked to dance.  Weather does play such a role on whether or not an open house is effective with traffic or not.  We  just never know.

We prepared for an open house tomorrow and I would't be upset if it rained all day.....we need the rain.

Marcia- The weather this year has been so unusual. I guess I will need to start packing a change of clothes in the car. Thanks for the comment!

Amy- You are so right, one is better then nothing. Thanks for keeping things positive:)

Vickie- I like the vision of being asked to dance! Weather is a key factor to consider when planning an open house, I think I will do a better job of checking the weather reports. Thanks for the comment.

Kay- I will pray that you get the rain you need. Thanks for the comment.
