The War on Jobs

Jobs are hard to come by in this country due to the absolute fear in the marketplace.  One fear that has never received it's fare share is that of President Obama's National Labor Relations Board and it's war against Boeing and their desire to open a plant in North Charleston.

One would think that the creation of a factory and 1,000 new jobs would be cheered on by all political spectrums.  Sadly, that is not the case.

The heart of this board's action is cronyism at it's worst.  Since South Carolina is a right-to-work state, workers at Boeing's new plant can't be forced, under duress, to lose their jobs if they don't hand over a percentage of their wages to union bosses.  The Obama Apparatchiks are trying to force Boeing to stay in a non-right-to-work state as payback for the enormous support from union leaders during the last presidential campaign.

If the administration succeeds, it will set a precedent for the virtual destruction of right-to-work laws all across the country.  No longer can an entreprenuer just start a new business without having to unionize "any organization with one or more employees."  The government would take control and make decisions that benefit, solely, the laborers.  Right to work states would be left out in the cold leaving companies ripe for nationalization (sic) err.. "unionization."

Mark,

This is going to be part of the fundamental issues coming up in 2012 elections.  I'm thrilled that Wisconsin was able to make changes that were critical to financial solvency.

All the best, Michelle

While stock prices are plummeting, their dividends are HUGE because they are hoarding CASH rather than EXPANDING and HIRING!

The fight for jobs is nationwide - from Gibson Guitar in TN to Boeing in SC to Amazon moving outlets because of internet taxes.
