Expect a Slow Housing Rebound

When speaking about the economy in general, but especially in regards to the Real-Estate industry, I think all of us have programmed ourselves to be prepared to ONLY expect negative news.  Last Wednesday, Obama stated that the housing market will slowly rebound over the next two years as the overall economy heals from the recession.  Click  here to read the full article of Obama's comments in the Wall Street Journal.

Fellow Realtors, we have all had naysayers over the past few years during this critical time who have stated "that home will never sell; this economy is in a mess", or "no one is going to let go of their cash-flow to put money into or down on a million-dollar house" (really?  Have one closing Thursday...?).  My response to this?  There is a buyer for every home...and a home for every buyer.  Obviously, our key in representing our client will is in creating a creative marketing plan and approach to selling which will pin-point the niche buyer for a specific property.

I do have to snicker when reading Obama's comments that he and his administration are "considering new ideas" to help the housing market (sounds like something I tell my children when I don't "exactly" know the answer to something just yet ;-)

Obama has had 3 years... and done nothing.    Give it up already, and nominate Hillary as the Democrat Candidate for 2012.

Aside from that...  any house can be sold, if the Parties (including the Banks) are willing to work.

Real Recovery?  Perhaps 2018 or 2019, when millions of upside-down Sellers have knocked down the Principal Balance from that 2004 or 2005 Mortgage, to what the house is worth.
