It was a perfect day to remember September 11 at the Grayhawk Golf Club Talon Course in North Scottsdale.
Temperatures in the 90’s. Blue skies with a few wispy clouds. The notable and stunning Talon Golf Course. Saguaro-studded desert landscape. A day out with my husband and good friends. Not to mention:
- 5 topped balls hit
- 4 bottles water consumed
- 3 golf balls lost
- 2 conversations with my husband about his golf cart driving discussed
- 1 par 3 at Devil’s Drink – the island water hole on #17 - made (by me!)
Grayhawk Golf Club is open to the public. Both golf courses – Talon and Raptor – offer unique challenges as they wind through some of the most spectacular Sonoran Desert on the planet. Talon was the first to burst on to the Scottsdale, Arizona golf scene in 1994 followed by Raptor in 1995. Since then, they have become widely considered as two of the finest golf courses in the Valley of the Sun.
A few notable accolades garnered by Talon and Raptor over the years include:
Golf Magazine – “Top 100 You Can Play in the U.S.”
Golf Magazine – “Top 10 New You Can Play”
Golf Digest – “Top 10 in the State You Can Play”
Golf World Business – “100 Best Golf Shops”
