Lot's of changes; very few results. Where's NAR?

I have seen so many changes in all the parts of the real estate industry over the last several years. None, in my opinion, have had any significant impact on improving the real estate business. I have often cited the lending community for starting this fisaco and for extending it through slow processing of many consumer options.

However this post is about the National Associaion of Realtors. We pay our National, State, and Local dues each year and what do we have to show for it? There is very little to no adertising done by the NAR. And there is nothing that indicates a client should look for a Realtor, should looik for a GRI, should look for an SFR, or any other designation. In addition you often have to pay a registration fee to take those courses. Finally many of these designations require annual renewals.

I think is time for NAR to support us and to educate the consumer so that can make informaed decisions and choose the very best agents they can.

It's time for OUR associations to step up!

HA!  The NAR has yet, after 15 years of active practice of many Realtors to education the consumer about agency.  I don't expect them to education the consumer about the real estate market today.

Yes Lennon. As a trade organization they are sorely lacking in supporting their members or educating the public.
