Yesterday, I got up early, made my coffee and turned on the computer. I was ready to play catch up on paper work before the start of my day.
At 10:00am my husband Dave and I had an appointment in Arnold. The plan was to meet my parents before the appointment and since Arnold is about an hour away we decided to leave at 7:30am.
As we drove we listened to the stories of 9/11. With the serenity of the morning as well as the stories of love, compassion and bravery that took place on that tragic day I could not help but feel Gods presence.
Between Valley Springs and Angels Camp we came upon a great oak tree that looked as if it were on fire. As we moved forward the great rays of light reached up into the sky, the sun rise became the mark of a new day.
I will never forward the victims of 9/11; and their lost opportunity to see the sunrise. As I think of them and the heroism that took place that day. I feel blessed to have God in my life and to be born an American.
