I finally made it to one of my children's PTA meetings. He is in 7th grade grade and today I made it to the Laguna Middle School Parent Teacher Association meeting. It was not nearly as horrific as I thought it would be. In fact, I made it through the entire hour and half meeting. Other people left early, but I held tight.
What I found out is there biggest money maker fund raiser is their Magazine Drive, along with a 3 mile run, escrip and box tops. All their fund raisers are to benefit the school and to honor the kids, parents and teachers alike. These groups of people are selfless and somehow find the time to give back to their school and community.
