 Of the 305 active single family listings in Weston, Florida today only 13 of them are REO properties and 76 short sales. Going as far back as June 1 only 201 of those listings fit within that time frame and 104 are over 115 days old. This shows that two thirds of the active listings here sell within 90 days and that will give sellers a huge sigh of relief. It also proves that Weston is still in demand compared to other parts of Broward.

The problem may be in the luxury class market, however. Of these 305 listings 43 are listed at over $1 million. These homes do not sell nearly as fast as others and require a very special kind of buyer. Your best bet if you are looking to purchase in Weston is to stick with homes under $300K if you are a primary and under $200K if you are an investor. Flipping may be a little tricky with the way banks are not loaning money these days, but renting down here can be a very lucrative business if you are in it for the long haul.
