I wanted to take the time to talk about my office, and why I chose to work with Coldwell Banker Town and Country in Lewiston, Idaho. We are a small office, with a big name. With an average of 18 agents our office has a strong presence in the valley. When I tell people that I am with Coldwell Banker, the responses I get are those that any office would envy. I'm told of how professional we are, and how lucky I am to be there. I hear about individuals who are with the company, and the great experience that they had working with them. One of the main reactions I get when I tell someone that I am working with Coldwell Banker, is that how wonderful Mary Jane Kneisly is. She is the broker. Mary Jane was one of the first women in the area to become a Realtor. She has been in the business for over 35 years and let me tell you--she knows her stuff! She has been extremely helpful and a major part of my success as a Realtor. Her door is always wide open, and is ready to face anything that comes her way with a big smile and warm heart. I had recently listed and sold a condo here in Lewiston, and after I had listed the home, the sellers told me that one of the big reasons why I got the listing was because of a deed that Mary Jane did for their church several years ago. The church they attended needed to expand. They came to Mary Jane, and she found a building for them to buy. When the property closed, Mary Jane had donated her commission to their church. She did not charge for her part in helping the church grow. I could go on and on with stories that I've been told when people find out that I am working for Mary Jane Kneisly. Another reason why I think my office is special is the office staff. We have three very hard working women who are the back bone of the office. We have Megan, who is always so bubbly and willing. She inputs all the listings, makes sure our ads are correct, and has to deal with us agents when we are constantly wanting to change a listing...We have Teresa, who is fairly new to our staff but has quickly become one of "US". She sits out front, greeting customers, and routes phone calls..and tallies up the agents expenses...Why do we like someone who delivers our office bills??? Teresa is great..And of course there's Mabrey. What would we do without her?? She is the office manager. Mabrey has her real estate license, as well as Megan. Mabrey knows everything. Forms, laws, rules, you name it.. She helps all of us when we are cussing at our computers, when we have problems with anything at all Mabrey has a solution. She keeps track of every listing, offer, sale. She is the one that the auditor comes to..so if an agent turns paper work in, it had better be done right, or she will let you know!! She has probably saved our agents butts by having such an eye for detail. We bow to her!! And finally the agents! They are all so great. We have so much respect for each other. Just yesterday, an agent came to me and asked me whether or not I knew someone that was referred to her. She told me that this person had told her that she had spoken to a "cute little blonde" in our office, but was not actually working with someone as of yet. Well, this agent thought it was probably me because she didn't know many little blondes in the office and asked me if I knew this woman and explained that she was referred to her by a friend. She didn't want to step on any toes. I hear so many agents from other agencies that tell of back stabbing, and ruthless acts to their own co-workers. I am proud to say, in my office, if I set a lead or phone number, property profile, or what ever on my desk, it's going to be there when I return, untouched. When I came to this office, I was given so much support from the other Realtors. I wasn't treated as competition, but instead I was given leads, referrals, and extra floor time because they all know how hard it is when you are new. I am approaching my first year with Coldwell Banker, and I am looking forward to many years to come. I've made several new friends. My office is like family and I couldn't see myself working under any other name. |
