What I like about Walnut Creek
Walnut Creek has an exceptional balance of cosmopolitan residential and suburban living. Open space areas, an active business and commercial community, parks, entertainment and recreation. No age group dominates. It is a comfortable city with apartment complexes, condominiums, Townhouses, single-family dwellings, and multi-acre ranch estates. Offices of large national corporations exist beside professional and retail businesses in downtown Walnut Creek.
Walnut Creek is a beautiful oasis located in the presence of Mt. Diablo. Its location is conveniently between HWY 680, 24, Ygnacio Valley Road, and BART. Downtown Walnut Creek touts approximately 87 restaurants and large national retails like Nordstrom, Macy's, Pottery Barn, Restoration Hardware, Talbot's and Tiffany's just to mention a few.
There are many activities in Walnut Creek to indulge in, where residents and visitors can take advantage of Nature, hiking, museums, nightlife and city parks. There is a wide choice of trails for jogging, biking, hiking and horses.
The schools have excellent educational programs and diverse recreational opportunities. The Regional Center for the Arts enriches the community with concerts, dances, and dramatic productions. For those who need more variety, San Francisco or the world famous Napa Valley wine region is less than an hour away. Just a couple of hours drive to the east, spectacular Lake Tahoe and the historic gold country, and the Sierra foothills, offer still more recreational diversion, as well as some of the most beautiful scenery found in the country.
I think this is a great place to raise a family. That is what I have chosen to do. Come to our beautiful city and visit for the day or plan a life here.
