Century 21 Opening - Lincoln Square Upper West Side Manhattan New York

Real Estate Agent with Douglas Elliman Real Estate

As an Upper Wet Side resident ourselves, the bookstore Barnes & Noble store at 1972 Broadway was a popular place  for Upper West Side residents over the past 15 years. Earlier this year, Barns & Nobles were closed, and the new retailer that will replaced the bookstore will be a department store, Century 21. It will be the second Manhattan location and seventh store overall for Century 21, which also has stores in Brooklyn, Queens, Long Island and New Jersey.

For those of you who do not know what Century 21 is, Century 21 is a department store that offers high-end clothes at a discount (similar to TJ MAXX, Filene's basement, SYMS, Duffys and etc). This new location will take over the 61,000 square foot building was occupied by Barnes & Noble on Broadway and West 66th Street near Lincoln Center.

I believe Century 21 will be having their soft opening this Thursday (today) as matter of fact. Great shopping addition to Upper West Side.

Mike, Yes, Century 21 is a huge department store with some of the best name brand clothing. We love it.

Not a fan of the name, but I love the colors. I wonder if the Century 21 real estate company has a beef with their name?
