FHA Approved Branford Condos

Frustrated Branford Condo Buyer**Update**  3-1-13 Please visit my latest post with the most up to date information on the current list of FHA Approved Condos in Branford.

There is nothing more frustrating or disappointing for a buyer than to have a contract on a condo they love and find out from their lender that it is not FHA approved.

If you're looking to purchase a Branford condo and have been qualified for FHA financing it is important to know which complexes are on the FHA Approved Condominium List before you begin your search.

Out of the 32 Branford condominium complexes that are on the list the following 6 complexes are the only ones that are currently FHA approved.

Cedar Knolls

Foxwood Crossing

Greystone Manor

Island View Village

Jefferson Woods

The Greens

As more Branford condo complexes complete the recertification process please bookmark this FHA Approved List so you can stay up to date on any changes in Branford or the surrounding Greater New Haven area.

Donna, sometimes I do wish things could be about common sense instead of paperwork. Oh, well. :)

Wow!  Only three are FHA approved!  That's insane!   But, now that I have said that, our area has the same percentages going on.  It's such a shame, as those are the folks eager to buy those condos - the FHA qualified folks

Laura - Many buyers are left out in the cold right now in Branford with this limited number of FHA approved Branford condos.

Dagny - There are actually 6 which is still only a small percentage of the complexes available and I apologize for the confusion.  The ones that are linked are posts that I wrote about those particular complexes.

Donna I feel you pain.  EVERY town is experiencing that, and unfortunately the only way that it will change is when the Condo owners can't sell their Condo's and start yelling and screaming at the Condo Association and Management Companies.

It is a simple process, and we are assisting Condo Associations and Management Companies with this process free of charge.  There is NO excuse for them NOT to do it.

Donna - This is an excellent post and one more reason why buyers need to be pre-approved prior to looking at homes, they need to know which loan program they're going with.

Donna this is important information that agents should give to buyers upfront so they know what their financing options are.  This shows you are on top of your market.

Donna, Only 20% approved sounds like quite a challenge and the makings of a lot of frustrated buyers.

Donna.. I know exactly the pain you go through with this.  However, I have taken advantage of the website (George Souto can tell you what it is) to see what condos are and are NOT FHA approved.  Just wish more were.  It is to their disservice that they are not.  They are limiting the number of possible buyers this way.  Sorry.. I'm preaching to the choir on this one, right?
