Very underrated community, that Mamaroneck. I love the downtown- lots of awesome places to shop and eat, with the water a stone's throw (literally) away.

I like community events that are about people and history. This weekend sounds great.

Beautiful photo of the waterfront.

Ruthmarie, this sounds like fun a parade & a  softball game. Loved the picture of the waterfront. As you know I live in Marina Del Rey and this is one of my favorite views:))

Thanks Laura,

Hi Phil - I agree.  I think the downtown area is terrific.  It really doesn't get the value that it is due.  Perhaps because it got built up (gentrified) a bit later in the game than some other villages?

Hi Leslie - It's going to be a great weekend for this as well...

Hi Endre - Thanks - I took that shot after a hurricane passed us by last year.  At that time there was supposed to be a category 1 storm going on....It's a really nice peaceful shot - although I think of it as somewhat ironic.
