As often happens, small deals sometimes get in the way of larger deals. I ask myself whether I should delay the small one in order to focus where the most money is to be gained. The answer is always yes. However, I would never make the smaller client feel as if she is unimportant. In other words, simply because we are in the middle of something really big does not mean we can treat the lesser stuff with disdain. NEVER may that be so. Everything is important, though the larger transaction is by nature almost always more urgent. If we treat our "lesser" client with the same respect we accord our bigger one, everything will be fine.
