Am I obsolete?

Services for Real Estate Pros with Best View Imaging

I discovered this link last week.  I feel so obsolete.  No need to ask Joan for photography advice.  Just go to:

http://camerasim.com/camera-simulator.html

OK. Maybe I am over-reacting  a little.   (I learned that from my teenage daughters).

This is a very fun link.  I could spend hours here.  It's very easy to use.  Just set:

Lighting: Dim Indoors-Sunny

Distance; 1-10 feet

Focal length 18-55mm

ISO; 100-3200

Aperature; f2.8-f32

Shutter Speed; 1 sec-1/2000th sec

There is even a "Use a tripod" option.

Then "Snap photo"

Compare what happens when you adjust distance/focal length.

Watch the meter exposure on bottom of the image.  Find the same exposure, with different aperture/shutter speed settings.

Increase the ISO, adjust the aperture/shutter speed for equivalent exposure, and compare image quality.

In case this does not answer all your photography questions, I am still here-fielding questions.

Keep smiling!

Joan

Good morning, Joan. I generally leave my camera in aperture priority mode and manually adjust ISO for optimum quality...

Elizabeth~ Have fun with your camera and this link.  Let me know if I can help you in any way.

Ann~ Play with this. Then do the same changes on your camera and compare the images.  I have an earlier blog about how to find which camera settings you used for each photo.

Michael~ I do the opposite. Standard ISO settings, slowest shutter speed possible and control the light with the aperature.

Brenda~ Referring to a pro is always a good decision, in any field.  I know some agents enjoy taking their own photos.  One of my regular clients is a very good amatuer photographer.  But to sell her listings, she hires me for the best possible view.

I have no idea what to do with this.  Fun to play with, but the purpose alludes me, LOL!

Sharon~ You crack me up!  It's just a toy for photo-geeks, like me.  No real purpose-just fun.
