Why Use a Real Estate Agent?  Its been written a thousand times but sellers and buyers really benefit from representation.  For the sake of simplicity I am going to gear this towards buyers.  As more and more buyers depend on the internet as their means for an education their feelings towards buyers agency have started to shift.  There has always been an underground feeling of "you'll save money not using an agent," which is simply not true.  Please speak to your buyers agent for specifics on how buyer agency works in your area.

What is forgotten is that there is a lot more to a buyers agents job than just opening doors. We have a  fiduciary duty to help you achieve your goals and our code of ethics that we stand by.  Due diligence is key and the list of steps we take to ensure you have a successful purchase is long.   Not only will a realtor help you determine a fair offer price, they will help guide you through the paperwork ensuring that everything is property executed and legal, they will use their experience and skills to negotiate the best terms for you and help you with any question you may have along the way.

An agent really should be considered an expert consultant. For a detailed list of what a buyers agent can do for you and why you should use one go to

Call a Marana neighbor, I'm THERE!

I explain this on almost every sign call I get.  As a buyer, you really don't want to call every sign to get information.  You want a buyer's rep working for YOU, representing you!  Listing agents work for the seller and dual agency is very, very hard...

@Cara, amen to that, the listing agent is working for the seller and I can't stand dual agency but thats a whole different topic. I'm glad you explain this so many agents dont I'm afraid

@Larry, I would love to see that ad.  It takes a great team to accomplish the sale of a home. From the buyers agent, to the lender, inspectors, appraisers (not really part of the team but still necessary and key) to title.  We are all a huge value when it comes to protecting the consumer and helping them reach their goals.

Hope you both have a fantastic day!
