German and French leaders announced their continued commitment to keep Greece in the 17-nation Euro region. The implied future effort to contain the area's sovereign debt crisis helped the Dow record a gain, and help mortgage backed securities close to even. The CPI, which measures the MoM change in prices of all goods and services purchased for consumption, came in at 0.4%, beating estimates of 0.2%. Jobless claims hit 428,000 for the month, 28,000 more than last month.
