VA loans picking up speed as our guys and gals come home

By
Real Estate Broker/Owner with Rush Point Realty LLC, Victoria Frieberg, broker

In the past couple of months I have seen my clients using the VA loan program 100% more than in any year in my real estate history.  Thats a great statistic, even if it really only means 3 clients!  That would be because I have never had a client use their benefit during the days of easier credit and so many downpayment programs.

A great lender helped me come up to speed on the program, the difference between a disabled vets benefit, and a recently discharged young mans.  Another client deployed in the middle of the tranaction, and it still amazes me that we can get documents back and forth from a war zone to complete the purchase!  A little slow, but working on it!

I am so proud to help these heroes get their first homes as they transition back into civilian life..to help with the paperwork, their questions.  If I don't know it, I can find it out..I love my job!

I think I have an offer coming in today where the buyer is a DVA buyer.  Yes, seeing more of these.

We have helped many veterans purchase a home in Charlotte, NC and are currently working with several others. We were successful in helping one young man purchase a home in his home town almost sight unseen (lots of pictures)!  The Disabled Veterans Benefits are great support for those who have served our country.

The costs for a vet to get a VA loan is going to be lower as of October 1st. This loan also has the lowest default rate of all the government loan products.
