Monarch Butterflys

The Monarch Butterfly has been arriving over the last week.  More and more noticeable as I walk along the hiking paths of Santa Rosa Beach.

This past week was also a full moon and the locals gather behind the Red Bar in Grayton Beach to howl at the MOON.  It is a fun thing to do if you live here.  The weather has been just awesome lately.  Perfect blue skys and cooler temperatures.  I just love the fall here.  You can read more about how the Monarch Butterflys migrate on their way to Mexico for the winter.  Not far behind them are the Canadians who find our area pleasant for their winter months too.  If you have never been to the area, it is time to take a trip by car this fall.

I hope to meet you on the beach soon.

Warmly yours,

That is a beautiful stingray near shore.  In October it is stingray mating season and monarch butterfly season too.  You can walk our beaches and see it all with a dolphin jumping in the distance occassionally.  You have to pinch yourself because it is so beautiful here.
