Trail Of Tears Motorcycle Ride, Madison County Alabama, Northern Alabama And Southern Tennessee, September 17, 2011

Trail Of Tears 2008, Madison AlabamaWhere has all the time gone...the last time I rode the Trail of Tears was 2008...it just didn't seem that long ago...I guess when you're busy time really does fly.  Anyway here we are again the night before this years Trail of  Tears Ride and I may miss this one as well.  An out of state clients wants to see homes tomorrow...if only I can push it back one more day...we'll see.  Anyway, you don't want to hear about that.

Riders who started the Trail of Tears in Bridgeport AL (Commemorative Ride) travels through northern Alabama and will be getting into Madison Alabama Saturday morning and stopping at the Old Tyme Pottery on Madison Boulevard for lunch at approximately 10:00 a.m. and leaving at 11:30 a.m.  Bikes will be routed down Madison Boulevard to County Line Rd. then north to Hwy 72 for the remainder of the trip ending in Waterloo.  Drivers should avoid these areas around this time as some streets and exits will be closed.  Drivers also need to pay extra attention at intersections as police will be posted to let riders through red light intersections allowing them right of way.

The Remembrance Ride begins in Chattanooga and travels through Southern Tennessee to Florence Alabama Lots of great looking bikesmaking for a beautiful ride

Politics seems to creep into everything these days and the Trail of Tears is no less affected.  There are two Trail rides and I'm not playing favorites...you decide the one you'd like to take...or have the best of both worlds and alternate each year.  Click on the following links for the ride that interests you.  In no particular order: Trail of Tears Commemorative Motorcycle Ride. And the Trail of Tears Rememberance Ride.
