The Roanoke Greek Festival
Each year the Greek Orthodox Church of Roanoke holds and annual Greek Festival. It is one of Roanoke's premier festival and quite the event. The three day event celebrates Greek culture.
The event is free to the public, they make money by food sales, booth rental, raffles, and donations. The food os amazing, so much that they even set up a "drive through"
For the best experience, you should eat at the church. The church sets up tents for shade or rain, therefore the event is rain or shine from 10am till 10 pm. There is a stage for the performers which range from musicians playing traditional Greek music to costumed dancers. Inside is a collection of vendors with a wide varity of wares. There is something for everyone...
