If you haven't yet been to the Tennessee Valley Fair, today (9/17) and tomorrow (9/18) are the last days. The Fair is open today from 10:00 am to midnight, and noon to midnight on Sunday.
If you haven't heard some down-home Bluegrass, or would just love to hear some Bluegrass live, today (9/17) is the last day of the Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival, in Kodak, TN. The Dumplin Valley Bluegrass Festival is held at 525 East Dumplin Valley Road. Besides great music, there is food and arts and crafts.
On Sunday (9/18), is the 7th Annual Taste of Loudon County. There will be food from area restaurants, music, and fun stuff for the kiddos. See you at Lenoir City Park!
In the arts scene, The Children's Theater of Knoxville, presents Anne of Green Gables at the Tyson Street theater. There are two shows, at 1 pm and again at 5 pm.
Now that it's finally starting to cool down a bit, walking/jogging/biking the Greenways in and about Knoxville is a fun family outing. And it's free! Of course, the Greenways can be used any day, and oftne link to nature preserves and historic sites.
