In memory of John Mangan - West Virginia's Thunder over the Blue Ridge air show.

Navy Blue Angels will be filling our skies at Randolph AFB October 29-30.

This is a family friend event showcasing our military air talent including performances by:

Five 5 aircraft types will be showcased:

FREE TO THE PUBLIC

GATES OPEN AT 9am.

Debb - Never gets old. My favorite was in Kaneohe, Oahu. To see these air shows with a mountain back drop is beautiful!

Hi Cathy - Awesome! I love airshows, particularly when they have the Blue Angels or the Thunderbirds. And if it's the same Vietnam Reenactment I saw, there are some crazy low-level bombing runs demonstrated that will amaze you. Sounds like a great event.

Hi Joan - It's alwasy been dangerous and can't say why so many recent events have had tragic endings. I was going to write a commentary but thought some may find it objetionable so I self-censored (Sorry Dick). I truly feel these folks enter the event knowing the risk so while it is tragic it is also not to be eliminated. I think the $20M question is, what was the cause? If budget cuts, well then we should be seriously reconsidering these events. If pilot error, well, then that's another issue. I just know having been a military brat that these pilots love what they do and to not have the air shows would be a real dis-service.

Dick - Where is the red and blue color Dick? I'm so disappointed, JK! I love that you are playing around with style. My husband's birthday is Nov 2 so this is what he wants to do, I'll take photos!
