Substance abuse is a disease that affects millions around the world. People I am close to, and people I am not close to yet. It breaks apart families and disadvantages innocent children. Let us support those courageous individuals who are brave enough to step away from the darkness of addiction and step into the light of recovery.
Join me at the first annual March Into The Light recovery walk, which will provide hope to those struggling with substance use disorder. Starting and ending at Falls Park, the march will start in pre-dawn darkness, with the rising sun as a symbol of the movement to bring the disease of addiction out of the darkness and into the light. Registration begins at 6am and the march will start at 6:30am. The march route will be 1.2 miles in length. Luminaries are also available to purchase in recognition of loved ones who have endured substance abuse disorder.
100% of all march proceeds will go towards recovery support services and education in the Sioux Falls area.
Walk the walk alone or join a team, everyone is welcome to attend.
