On the National Register of Historic Places, this brick, eleven story structure with terra cotta ornamentation, was the first ever building in Seattle designed for a single professional use as a medical and dental office.

Good morning, Judi. I like the ornate stone work. Very nice. Sadly, this type of work is no longer done...

Judi - hope you're having a great trip. Love the building and the rooftop doggie run is a fun idea. Nice that they LEED certified it - impressive.

Good afternoon (I guess still morning in Seattle) Judi, I love buildings where they put the effort to add esthetic appeal.

Love the details! And I also love that furry friends were thought of as well with the dog run on the roof, how cool is that?!

What neat architecture, I truly love Seattle.  It's my favorite place to go for the weekend just to chill.

Wow!  The detail on this building is something that you just don't see much anymore.  Great building!

Hi Judi, For sure these buildings are so wonderful and they do become "treasures" in our cities. New buildings tend to come with more  simple maintenance surfaces and while they are also very interesting and striking, the lack of dealing in the artitic embellishments does raise the question about their longevity as far as interest is concerned. When I visited back East I saw a Church near Lamberstville that so so strikingly beautiful and it made for an awesome photo with it's many details and adornments. I love these older adorned buildings with such amazing detail.

A very beautiful building! I love the Indian on the building. I wonder if that's Chief Seattle.
