LUXURY HOMES IN ALAMEDA

Bryan Robertson recently wrote a blog titled What is a High End House?  Bryan got me thinking about what a luxury home in Alameda is.  Homes have sold for $2 Million+ in Alameda, but not for a while.  Currently, we are experiencing a resurgence of luxury homes.  The new listings are in the Gold Coast, an excellent and much sought after residential neighborhood of Alameda.

The Gold Coast has always been a premier location in Alameda San Franciscans had grand summer homes in the Gold Coast in late 1800s and early 1900s.  At that time, there were lush oak woodlands, warmer weather than San Francisco and a fine beach nearby.  When the 1906 earthquake destroyed their homes in the City, many moved to Alameda permanently.

Guess "luxury home" really depends on the marketplace... I feel like prices are so low in Arizona right now that our "luxury home" market starts at about $500,000!

Liz:  It sounds like now is the time to buy a luxury home in Arizona.

Kristine:  I like the house too.  It is so spacious and light and beautifully decorated.  Glad you like it.  If you do redecorate, let us all know with before and after pictures.  I'll bet it will look even more fantastic than it is now.

QuickFreeMls.com:  Thanks for your comment.  They are all nice properties and each has its own special feature.

Belinda:  Thanks for your comment and visiting my blog.  Alameda is in the bay about 20 minutes by auto from San Francisco over the Bay Bridge.San Francisco Alameda  We are in the East Bay, so we aren't so foggy in the summer as SF.  We have really good weather, except for this past spring(Rain, rain, rain, we thought that Seattle had moved to our town).
