OK – I need your help (My daughter doesn’t believe me)

I've told my daughter that the tooth fairy has rules just like banks. She thinks I am pulling her leg, which I would never do! She started to lose another baby tooth last night and I told her that if she lost it after 5pm, like all banks, all transactions after 5pm have to wait until the next business day.

I've also told her that the Tooth Fairy only works Monday-Friday and shouldn't be expected to work weekends. How would you like it if you had to work 24 hours a day 7 days a week. Since it is always night time somewhere, this made sense to me when I said it.

So, please back me up and I will print out your comments for her to read. Also, if you know of any other rules that I am not thinking of, please feel free to report them here - lol

Update
: The Tooth Fairy came and even had a Kit Kat in hand. Seems had to take a late night run to the store for change. Also people thought I was a little off when it came to this one and for a look in to my humor I wrote another blog about how I got this way. Feel free to check it out My Easter Dinner (1982) - And a look in to my sense of humor.

Todd,

* The tooth fairy is not human like us so she works 24/7!

* She can however 'skip over' a given child's home on any given night arriving the next evening!

* All teeth must be placed under pillows by a related adult!

* Compensation may vary depending on size of tooth and numbers of reimbursements made per evening!

* In case of unusual or hard to explain 'tooth fairy' behavior a note may be left for the tooth fairy asking for 'clarification'!

There you have it, Thanks,   Fran

Todd:  You are even more warped than I thought you were.  Be nice... let her enjoy her little girl-hood.  Save being sadistic for your co-broke agents... LOL.

Todd - Nothing to print out for your precious little one here.  The tooth fairy is a very special creature who never sleeps, never takes breaks, and loves little children.  She wouldn't think of making a precious little girl wait until the next business day...I think the toot fairy may actually have grounds for a lawsuit with such libelous allegations that she keeps banker's hours! When you put that tooth under the pillow, be sure to give the tooth fairy this number 1-800-canIsue.

I hope you're clear on this tooth fairy business or we might have to reconsider giving your uncle privileges!

Karen- Wait until you read my next blog, you will find out what happened to me as a child that made me have this warped sense of humor. Trust me, there is a reason and a date to this madness.

Marlene - Guess, I've lost on this one and may have to have the tooth ferry stop and the grocery story and use a debit card and get change so she can put a dollar under a pillow,

1. Don't ever believe your father, always ask for a 2nd opinion...hahahaha

but yes, he is correct. Don't forget Holidays, the tooth fairy takes all holidays off. As well as she gets 3 weeks of paid vacation which she usually takes in January after a long year so don't lose any teeth in January!

Todd:  I can already see signs of your insanity and warpedness in just the way you look out from your eyes on your picture.  Sort of like a much younger version of Simon LeGree.  Also, how many "blogs" do you have ?  Or did you mean... that we will see the reason you are the way your are... from your next post on this blog.  Each article you write and submit... is a "post."  As in "post office."

Todd, it's a darn good thing you're going to the store with your debit card.....and be thankful the tooth fairy doesn't leave a pack of sugarless gum with that dollar.....she did for every one of my kids, and grandkids  :) :)

***never mess with Easter Bunnies, Tooth Fairies, and all the other childhood magic........

After doing some Internet research and calling my close friend who works as a lawyer on Capitol Hill on the Labor Ethics committee we agree on the following:

The Tooth Fairy only has to work a 40-hour week.  Anything over 40 hours and over-time must be paid.  With the way government spending is - overtime is VERY MUCH frowned upon.

Thus, often the Tooth Fairy must skip over a home and has lately been paying out once two or more teeth are lost (double the money; but 1 trip to a home reduces costs and hours worked).

Also - all Federal Holidays and weekends are considered time off.

The tooth fairy is only allowed 2 weeks vacation; but it is rumored that only about 1 week in any given year is taken.

Hope this information helps.

Cheers from DC!

Todd - You are not going to like this, but I side with your little girl!  The tooth fairy works on weekends, however, she does have to find the tooth.  This happened to one of my sons and she had to pay double the next night.  (my son's tooth fell out from the pillow and under the bed) so it is possible she came and then had to come back.  After that, my sons made sure that the tooth was secure and she always made it to our house weekends and all.

Todd, Wow!  The tooth fairy must have joined a union to have become so demanding.  When my kids were little, she worked every night of the week!

Rick - You are supposed to defend me not tell my daughter to not believe a word I say. I see I need to make a call to your house over the weekend - lol

James - THANK YOU! ROFL......By the way when I read it to my daughter, I got a "Oh DAAAAADY" and a roll of the eyes as she walked away.

Kathy - I did love my grandfather.

Candy - The dollar had been paid and the Tooth Fairy had a Kit Kat bar.

Roberta - It seem the Tooth Fairy still does every night, when I found out the Tooth Fairy can loose its job and be cut off from other benefits from Mrs. Tooth Fairy.

THe tooth fairy is just like Santa, he works 24/7 every single day of the year taking orders for the next year!  However Santa only delivers one day of the year!  Nice pic by the way!

Todd - So sorry I missed this one!  I would have recommended an old Ward rule...tooth decay means your child is in the hole and either has to pay YOU for the tooth or get a clean dental report at the next dental visit.  Works every time.  They'd rather brush their teeth than pay us.  How do we know they're decayed?  We lie, like any other good mom and dad! As parents of 5, you sometimes have to keep it fresh.  And by the way, I totally "get" your sense of humor.  I'm married to the greatest practical joker of all time.
