Talk about change. I'm not a huge fan of the new layout. Probably becuase I am on Facebook all day and so I don't like the "top news" being in the main feed. I would rather have "most recent" be there instead of in the tiny sidebar.
That being said it is even more important for brands on Facebook to always include Pictures or Videos in their status upates so that they will appear in "Top News." Also always try to get interaction from your followers, questions are a great way. Facebook is ranking Top News by the # of likes & comments, as well as photos, video and your relationship with that friend.
