Compromise is always the way to go but when one person thinks that compromising means getting their way, then maybe it is ok to say, enjoy the game, I will be at our friends for dinner!
Mary, those that don't want to compromise think life is a one way street.

Mary, Compromise is easy when you're both like-minded and not so much when allowing someone to get their way gets in the way of what you really want.

Some people just don't get the concept of compromise, Mary. But then sometimes when we say compromise what we really mean is "do it my way or else" :) Sometimes, you just gotta be the tough one.
