I Love High School Football...the smell of the grass...the pop of the pads...the cool air...the crowds...everything about it.
I just read a Wordless Wednesday Blog by Larry Bettag...what a great photo he took...and it brought back many memories of my Son playing High School Football!!!
Check out his Keepsake Photo:
All of us Dad's and Mom's and Grandpa's and Grandma's remember when our children played sports or were involved in band or speech or choir or Thespians, etc. We all have favorite memories.
I have many, many great memories...and one sad one of our son playing High School football. All captured in pictures.
It would take a book to share all of them but three that stick out is "The Incomplete Pass", "After the Game..What is Important?", and "#45...The End".
Although all three photos shown here are self explanatory, the last one was in the 3rd round of State playoffs Jake's Senior year.
There are other great pictures but these have always stuck in my mind... Wide open at the 5 yard line and the pass is overthrown...the highest I have ever seen my son jump...Doing what really matters...being a role model... and knowing that this would be the last time i ever saw my son in Football pads and old #45 on the field. The number has not been worn for the past 4 seasons by anyone...not sure why.
Memories...are much more fun while they are happening...but the lasting effects are awesome!!
Until Next Time...
