Julio G's Across From Paradise Valley Mall
Anyone who knows me well knows how much I love Mexican Food! Whether it's Sonoran style flan, Tex-Mex tacos or seafood Veracruz style, I love it all. 5 minutes from my home is one of my favorite Mexican restaurants, Julio G's across from Paradise Valley Mall.
The bar is on the smaller side but you can watch the game on a big screen TV and service in the bar has always been excellent. The menu is extensive and varied. The food has always been very good and quite reasonably priced.
The staff is friendly and the service has always exceeded my expectations. The Supreme Nachos are a favorite as well as the Pollo Magnifico, and my husband's favorite is Pork Green Chili. If someone in your party doesn’t do Mexican, (I truly feel sorry for that person), there are several alternatives including salads, hot wings and even a cheeseburger with fries!
The restaurant is easy to find as Julio G's across from Paradise Valley Mall is directly east of the mall, the address is 12631 North Tatum Blvd. Phoenix, AZ. On our most recent visit we were seated across from former WWE wrestler "Superstar" Billy Graham a Phoenix native and according to one of the staff, a regular. I mention this to give you an idea of the portions; if you can fill up a professional wrestler the portions must be substantial! I usually take home at least half my lunch or dinner.
If you don't have time to sit and eat or you want to pick something up on the way home, Julio G's across from Paradise Valley Mall is right next door to Julio's Too, you can call ahead, (I have their number on speed dial), or order at the counter and either take it home or seat yourself at one of the half dozen tables.
My husband read this and said I should mention that the "Hot Sauce" may be the best in Phoenix; while it has some kick it isn’t really hot- hot more of a medium heat with a wonderful flavor and in his opinion there is nothing better to dip their hot tortilla chips into! If you like good Mexican food, and who doesn't, I believe you'll like Julio G's across from Paradise Valley Mall. Check them out and tell them Nancy Laswick, your favorite Scottsdale area realtor sent you, and while you're waiting for your food try one of their famous Grande Gold Margaritas!
