The Vail Valley says Goodbye to Summer, Hello Fall Colors!

Yesterday marked the last day of summer.  Though the Summer season took her pretty time getting to us here in the Vail Valley (we had snow through June!), once she arrived it was an amazing season.

I hope you were able to visit our beautiful slice of heaven this summer.  And as we say goodbye to Summer and hello to Fall, be sure to head up during the next few weeks as the Aspen trees are just starting to change colors.  The Vail Valley will be blanketed in gold very soon!

Low 100s??!!  Wow, I don't know if we saw a day much over 90 this summer.  I hope it cools down soon for you there in Phoenix!

Didi, bet it is gorgeous up there right now.   On the news they said this is peak season, and maybe next weekend will be the best for watching the colors!

Joan, I think you're right!  The Aspen trees are almost peaking in the areas of Beaver Creek and down valley.  Vail will be fully gold next weekend.  Hope you can make it up!
