I always thought people admire "stars" on TV and in movies too much kind of living their exciting lives vicariously through them. It has always annoyed me this people worship so to speak, cause if ANY of us looks at ourselves in the mirror in the morning WE are a star too. We just have to
Unleash The Superstar Within.
Done mainly by some self awareness of what we are good at, what we have passion for and get some very clear thinking in our mind in what we want as far as accomplishing something or what success means to us. What dominates our thoughts is the direction we go.
It comes down to three things to unleash that "superstar" inside us:
1) Desire. What do you really, really want? Know that answer.
2) Commitment. Are you dedicated to the path that going after what you want will take you on no matter what? The sacrifices, the trade offs that you will incur, the hard work, the time and energy, the money, the detractors saying you can't do this, the pain?
3) Belief. The most important inner quality we need to MAKE IT HAPPEN and be our best selves. This is the CONFIDENCE step. Do you actually believe in your own abilities and your will to drive you to get you to where you want to go? YOU MUST BELIEVE and be CONFIDENT in you. Essential.
One other thing with your dominant thoughts, use the past for understanding. Lessons learned. But don't drag the past more than that into the present and the future. Past decisions that went wrong have no effect on decisions you make today. They are water under the bridge, something way back there in the wake on top of the water of your fast moving forward direction boat.
Work hard at being your own superstar self in your own life and don't worry so much or give more than a passing thought to OTHERS in what they are doing to be a star themself. YOU are the one that mainly counts here.
